Somerset has two acute hospitals and twelve community hospitals, all part of the Somerset Foundation Trust.
Primary Care
There are 62 General Practices in Somerset. This number has reduced slightly in recent years, largely because of mergers.

Pharmacies
Further information about services and opening hours at pharmacies is available in the Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment 2022-25. This report showed that Somerset had 102 community pharmacies in October 2022, since when a number of forthcoming closures have been announced. There are 20 doctors who dispense medicines directly.
